Microsoft 365 for Government DC User Group – September 2020
Starting about two years ago, the US Department of State embarked on a journey to transform how we collaborate and communicate. Our progress toward greater use of Teams and its many features was measured and steady until Covid-19 forced us into a radically different operating environment. Fortunately, the foundation for using Teams had been laid before the crisis, which allowed us to quickly scale up our use of Teams. In this presentation, learn how the Department of State is using Teams to support a global enterprise that spans 275 diplomatic posts in addition to dozens of domestic installations. Tim Hayes, the Deputy Chief of the Knowledge Leadership Division in the Office of eDiplomacy at the State Department, and co-lead for this user group, shares his experience in deploying Teams for one of the largest federal agencies.
