Darryl and I have known each other around 3 years and I can easily say I am jealous of how sharp he always looks. Our paths crossed doing excellent work around DevOps for ACT-IAC in hopes of taking his experience at DHS, and others at their respective agencies and companies, and translating that into something usable for government agencies as they struggle with implementing DevOps as a culture and a process.
Darryl wears many hats. He is current at Google as the Head of Federal Strategic Partnerships, is an Advisory Board Member for ATARC, Vice Chair At Large for ACT-IAC, and is the Vice President of the Breakfast Series for AFCEA Bethesda. He was previously at Salesforce, DHS, and other consulting positions.
All that to say he is a man that has major influence and uses it effectively. But, who he, where does he come from, and how did he get to where he is today? That is what we learn in this week’s episode of The Geek Within.
